Stephan Ferenz studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology with the focus on communication engineering and on electric power engineering at the Leibniz University in Hannover. In 2016, he finished his Bachelor of Science with his thesis "Global Motion Estimation for Aerial Video Sequences" (at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung (TNT)).
In 2017, Stephan studied abroad at Michigan State University in the US. In 2019, he wrote his Master thesis about "Analysis of Economic Incentives for Decentralized Coordinated Voltage Regulation in the Distribution Grid" in the group for energy informatics (EI). He finished his Master of Science in November 2019.
Afterwards, he joined the group for energy informatics as Ph.D. student.
